Foreign Minister-designate Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa held discussions with former Foreign Minister Professor Kwamena Ahwoi as part of his ongoing consultative engagement with prominent figures in Ghana’s foreign ministry.

Following his nomination, the minister embarked on this consultation journey with several long-serving foreign ministers, including Dr. Obed Yao Asamoah and Ambassador James Victor Gbeho.

In a post shared on social media, the minister showcased photos from his meeting today with the distinguished Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, who served as Foreign Minister from 1997 to 1998.
According to him, this meeting and seeking counsel from these well-respected figures is a privilege and holds great importance as he prepares to assume the role of Foreign Minister.
“It has truly been a rare privilege and a most illuminating experience, drinking from the fountains of elderly wisdom as I prepare to be the next Foreign Minister, by the grace of God,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the renowned former minister for welcoming him and providing guidance. “I consider myself extremely blessed to have been warmly received and graciously guided by these two oracles of international relations, governance, and Pan-Africanism,” he added.
His supporters have shared their appreciation and words of encouragement for the steps he is taking as he gets ready to become the next Foreign Minister.
