It was an electrifying moment when thousands of church faithful thronged the University of Ghana to experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the 2023 edition of the International Prophetic Convention – IPC23 of the Christ Apostolic Church International.
Members clad in one church paraphernalia or another thanked God for the opportunity to experience an outdoor gathering of such magnitude in the last few years.
“For the past five years, we have not organised any major outdoor program due in part to the outbreak of Covid-19. We are happy that as we celebrate our centenary, there are no impediments restraining us from coming together in a grand style to honour the Lord,” said Apostle Samuel Amponsah Frimpong, Chairman of CAC during his opening remarks at the seven-day event.
He was hopeful that the love of God would be rekindled in the hearts of men to energise them to work with zeal and confidence in all sectors to make our nation great and strong.
In a sermon, former Prophetic Director of the Church, Apostle George Awuku MORKLAH assured the gathering of God’s covering through cloud and a pillar of fire. According to him, fire serves as light that illuminates one path while at the same time changing and destroying the work of darkness. He therefore admonished the church of God and Ghanaians to reposition themselves to enable them to enjoy the full complement of God’s supernatural covering. He cautioned, it is high time men of God in Ghana rise up in fervent prayers to overturn the schemes of Satan over the land.
Prior to this mega outdoor program, the Christ Apostolic Church International, through its newly inductedleaders,s led congregants nationwide to launch the celebration of the 100 years of the physical descent of the Holy Spirit at Anum-Asamankese in the Eastern Region of Ghana. This was a prelude to the 2023 International Prophetic Convention being held in the Southern and Northern sectors from Monday, August 21 to 27 at the University of Ghana and from Monday, 11th to Sunday, 17th September, 2023, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology respectfully. This year’s is on the theme Led by the Pillar of Fire.( Exodus 13:21).
