The Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, under the leadership of its Member of Parliament, Elikplim Akurugu, in collaboration with the Government of Ghana, the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, and the Africa Diaspora Central Bank (ADCB), is embarking on a groundbreaking initiative to equip young people and adults aged 18 to 65 with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills.

This transformative initiative aligns with the visionary goals of ECO-6 and the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana to empower the next generation with cutting-edge technological expertise.

The Africa Diaspora Central Bank (ADCB), a key financial institution dedicated to empowering Africa and its diaspora, is providing full sponsorship for this initiative.

As a strategic partner in Africa’s economic development, ADCB is committed to fostering financial inclusion, digital transformation, and sustainable economic growth.

The bank’s investment in AI training aligns with its broader mission to equip Africans with the necessary skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving global digital economy. Through this initiative, ADCB is not only bridging the technological gap but also creating employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship among African youth.

This AI training program focuses on Prompt Engineering, a vital skill in today’s digital economy, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to harness the power of AI in diverse sectors. With full sponsorship, this program removes financial barriers and provides an unparalleled opportunity for Ghanaian youth and professionals to gain hands-on experience in AI applications.

The Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, has been at the forefront of AI education in Ghana and across Africa. This initiative is part of a broader mission to train 11 million Africans in AI, an ambitious yet necessary step toward Africa’s technological and economic transformation.

Thousands have already benefited from this visionary program, gaining essential skills to thrive in an AI-driven world.

Speaking on the importance of this initiative, H.E. Amb. Prof. Hugh Aryee emphasized, “AI is the future, and Africa must not be left behind.

The Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, in partnership with the Africa Diaspora Central Bank and other stakeholders, is committed to equipping Africans with AI skills that will drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.”

This training initiative represents a significant milestone in Ghana’s technological advancement, reinforcing the country’s position as a leader in AI education on the continent. With continued support from stakeholders and policymakers, Ghana is poised to unlock new opportunities, create jobs, and revolutionize industries through AI-driven solutions.
