Bishop Salifu Amoako, two others rearrested in connection with the East Legon fatal accident after AG dropped initial charges

Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, his wife Mouha Amoako, and their domestic assistant have been re-arrested in connection with the East Legon fatal accident.

On Monday, February 17, 2025, the state through the Attorney General’s office informed the court trialing the three persons of its decision to drop the charges against them.

The move according to sources was intended to enable the police to conduct additional investigations and determine the appropriate course of action.

However, shortly after Bishop Salifu Amoako, his wife, and their domestic assistant left the courtroom, they were re-arrested under fresh legal circumstances.

The three were initially arrested and charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive after their 16-year-old son, who was behind the wheel, crashed into a car at East Legon, resulting in the deaths of two teenagers.

The son has already been convicted of manslaughter in connection with the incident.

Following the state’s request, the judge officially struck out the charges.
