The Education Directorate of Asokore Mampong Municipality has set up a 5-member committee to investigate the circumstance that led to the assault of a female student of Kumasi Academy Senior High School, KUMACA.
The committee is to present its report in a week.
A security man and some students of the school are seen in a video that has gone viral on social media, assaulting the final year female student.
The Municipal Education Director, Samson Anawine Atogembero, who condemned the action said the female student has been given medical treatment.
He said the security man has been arrested by the Asokore Mampong police and assisting in investigations.
