Government will next year prioritise the construction of affordable houses as the biggest economic activity, just as it did with the year of roads.

The scheme is geared at reducing the housing deficit and enable low-income workers to rent or own a house at affordable price.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta announced this when he joined President Akufo-Addo to inaugurate a 204 affordable housing project at Tema Community 22 on the second day of his Greater Accra regional tour.
