Businessman, Founder and Leader of the New Africa Foundation and New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, widely known as Freedom Cheddar, has come out to respond to the document that announced the revocation of the permit to host his Public lecture on January 8, 2024.

It was reported on January 8, 2024 that the Public Lecture organized by the New Africa Foundation was cancelled hours before the commencement of the event.

A letter from the office of the President announced the revocation of the permit to host the event and promised a refund of a quoted amount (GHC10,000) to be paid to the organizers.

In an interview on TV3’s New Day, the man who believes he is the salvation of Africa, Cheddar, claimed that his firm was disgusted by the document and its content because they paid an amount of GHC 30,000 and not what was quoted in the document.

“The receipt that we got is GHC30,000. So if the government is showing GHC10,000,it is minus two-thirds… We have paid the money and you have issued us a receipt of GHC30,000”, he said.

He expressed his frustration at events that took place, leading to the cancellation of a well invested event. According to him, the payment of the event was made under the New Africa Foundation but the revocation document came with the name Black Star Line Festival.

He quizzed if there are different offices of the President in the country

“Do we think that there is another office that we have in Ghana that is for the president with the same stamp? Because I am kind of confused and I am trying to ask the nation”, he quizzed.

Cheddar further claimed that an amount of $300,000 was invested into the public lecture which never saw light. He said he made such investment into the event because he wanted it to be an inspiration to the youth and people of Africa
