The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, convened a meeting with former Inspectors-General of Police on April 2, 2025, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra. The gathering aimed to foster collaboration between the current and past leadership of the Ghana Police Service while leveraging their collective expertise to enhance the service’s operational and administrative effectiveness.
Attendees included notable former IGPs such as Mr. C.K Dewornu, Mr. Ernest Owusu Poku, Nana Owusu-Nsiah, Mr. Patrick Acheampong, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills-Robertson, Dr. John Kudalor, Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, and Mr. James Oppong Boanuh. Discussions centered on critical issues such as personnel welfare, crime-fighting strategies, stakeholder engagement, ongoing reforms within the service, and broader concerns regarding security and law enforcement in Ghana.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to regular engagements aimed at advancing the growth and development of the Ghana Police Service. Members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) were also present to contribute to the discussions.
