President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday joined the National Tripartite Committee meeting at the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment in Accra.

The President in his remarks urged the labour unions to consider the dire state of the economy as they proceed with the wage negotiations.
He promised them that if the economy bounced back, he would ensure higher remuneration for workers in the coming year.
He also spoke about the need to establish the Independent Emoluments Committee to determine the income of public-sector workers.
