President John Mahama has appointed a Research Fellow with the History and Politics Section at the Institute of African Studies (IAS), University of Ghana, Legon, Professor Michael Kpessa-Whyte, as Acting Director-General at the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA).
In a congratulatory message contained in a press release issued and signed by NDC Shai-Osudoku Constituency Secretary, Jones N. Ayertey described Professor Whyte’s appointment as a significant milestone in SIGA’s journey towards ensuring that state-owned enterprises operate efficiently, effectively, and in the best interest of the Ghanaian people.
He said, “the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Shai-Osudoku is thrilled to announce and congratulate Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte on his appointment as the Acting Director-General of the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA) by His Excellency John Mahama.”
According to the release, this appointment is a testament to Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s exceptional leadership skills, academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to public service. As a renowned political scientist and researcher, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this critical role. “We are confident that under his leadership, SIGA will continue to promote good governance, transparency, and accountability in the management of state assets.”
