Officials from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) have reportedly surrounded the home of Rev. John Ntim Fordjour in an attempt to arrest him, according to Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Kodua shared the news on social media on Wednesday, April 9, using the hashtag #SayNoToStateIntimidation. He described the situation as part of a worrying trend of political harassment in the country.

‎This incident comes just days after Rev. Ntim Fordjour, who is also the Member of Parliament for Assin South, raised serious concerns about two suspicious flights that landed at the Kotoka International Airport. He suggested the flights could be linked to drug trafficking and money laundering.

‎The government has denied these claims, calling them baseless. However, this latest development has sparked fears that opposition voices are being targeted for speaking out on national issues.
