The leader and founder of National Liberation Congress, NLC, Stephen Atubiga, says the country will still lag behind in development if certain practices are not changed.
He said an NLC government will implement credible and innovative policies to change the fortunes of the citizenry. These include the setting up of more banks to stimulate the private sector and the economy.
Speaking at a media briefing in Accra, Mr. Atubiga said the political class has not been truthful and faithful to Ghanaians regarding their own promises to them.
He asked Ghanaians not to fall easily for enticing manifesto promises, but properly assess them.
Mr. Atubiga took a swipe at the NDC, which he tagged as their mother party for not projecting socialist oriented values even in opposition.
He wondered why the flagbearer would choose to organize a media conference in an expensive hotel.
