Oliver Barker-Vormawor, another, receiving medical care at Police Hospital

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Convenor of the Democracy Hub, has been admitted to the Police Hospital for medical care alongside another individual. The Convenor who was arrested for organising a three-day protest against illegal mining over the weekend is receiving medical care.

According to a police news brief, Barker-Vormawor was transferred for treatment following complaints of ill health on Tuesday.

Doctors assessed the situation and decided to admit him for treatment.

Fanny Otoo reported to the police on Tuesday that he was feeling unwell while the suspects in her case were being prepared for court.

The brief indicated that he was taken to the Police Hospital in Accra, where doctors provided immediate care and subsequently admitted him for further treatment.

It also clarified that the police never denied the suspects any medical attention during the process.
