As part of efforts to ensure that Ghana continues to enjoy and also maintain her peace, the National Peace Council (NPC), has embarked on a number of projects to ensure it achieves this feat.
These projects include training and educating Senior High School students on ways to maintain peace and liaising with Traditional Authorities and the various communities on how to deal with issues of conflict, among others.
Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev Dr Adu Gyamfi, said it is important for the council to up its game in maintaining peace in the country.
Rev Dr Adu Gyamfi debunked the notion that the Peace Council only stands up to its task in emergencies like conflict and during elections. He reminded people to appreciate and protect the country’s peace, adding that maintaining peace is a shared responsibility.
