President Akufo-Addo expresses gratitude to Upper East Region for their support

President Akufo-Addo, has commended the people of the Upper East Region for the support given him during his eight-year tenure as President.

He said he does not take it lightly, the trust and opportunity given him to govern the country for two terms. At a stakeholder engagement in Bolgatanga, President Akufo-Addo said his visit is to express his appreciation to the people and also account for his stewardship since assuming office as President.

The President is coming to the end of his tenure at the end of the year. At a an engagement with some stakeholders in the Upper East Regional Capital, Bolgatanga, President Akufo-Addo expressed his appreciation for the love and loyalty shown him during his days of political campaigns and as president.

President Akufo-Addo hoped he did not disappoint the people of the region in his time. According to him, he has never been discriminatory in his share of the national cake.

The paramount chief for the Talensi Traditional Area, Tong-Rana Kubilsong Nalebegtang commended the president for his visit. He also called for peace in the lead up to the December polls.

The President was accompanied by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nandom and Minister of State at the Office of the President, Ambrose Dery, the Upper East Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, and some national executives of the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
