President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono as the Acting Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA). Tanye-Kulono, a distinguished military officer and legal expert, currently serves as the Deputy Commandant of the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS).
With advanced degrees in law, management, and international affairs, he was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2015. His career includes leadership roles in the military, peacekeeping operations, and counterterrorism, with training from top global defense institutions.
His appointment is expected to strengthen security and operational efficiency at Ghana’s ports.
