The remains of the former Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Labianca Company, Hon. Deaconess Mrs. Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh, popularly known as “Labianca” were laid to rest on Friday with mourners from all walks of life paying their last respects.
The burial service held at the State House was conducted in collaboration with the Sakumono local and the Teshie Nungua Area of the Church of Pentecost.
The funeral was attended by the President, his Vice and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, with their spouses, Members of Parliament and other high-ranking members, both in the public and private space.
The late Deaconess Mrs. Asomah-Hinneh was born in 1964 to Mr. Isaac K. Buah and madam Sophia Cudjoe, both of blessed memory.
She started her career in business from her father’s guest house in Tema as a manager and later traveled to Italy in 1987 and worked in various industries. With a focus in building a career in business, Mrs. Asomah-Hinneh invested in her business even while outside the shores of Ghana, through which she founded the Labianca company after returning to Ghana.
Known for her philanthropic work, she created jobs for many, built church auditoriums, palaces for chiefs, paid school fees for many, including rent.
The staunch member of the Pentecost Church, was also a member of the New Patriotic Party. She was appointed a member of the Council of State in 2017 and served on the 7th and 8th Council till 2021, representing the Western Region.
Heart-warming tributes from her company and business associates, the Church, friends and sympathisers, provided a testament to her well-lived life on earth.
TRIBUTES
In a sermon at her pre-burial service, Apostle Samuel Gyau-Obuobi, admonished all to serve the nation and their communities in all aspects with integrity and to impact lives.
In their tribute, management and staff of the Labianca company said their late CEO’s has left a remarkable legacy for generations.
The late Mrs. Asomah-Hinneh died on June 11, 2024. She left behind five children and a widower, COP Nana Asomah-Hinneh (RTD).
