A total of Nine Thousand and Twenty-Six people (9,026) are expected to participate in the ongoing Special Voting Exercise ahead of December 7, 2024.
For eighteen (18) constituencies, Ho Central has the highest voter population with one thousand five hundred and sixty-three (1,563) followed by Ketu South with one thousand, two hundred and forty-six.
Hohoe has Eight Hundred and Twenty-Five, followed by Ketu North with Seven Hundred and Two.
The last three constituencies with voter populations are Adaklu at the bottom with just ninety (90), Akatsi North with one hundred and sixteen (116), and North Dayi with two hundred (200).
Voting commenced exactly at 7 am, and at about 8 am, about fifty (50) people voted.
Interview with GBC, Ketu South Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission, Kofi Sakyi Boampong noted that the process has been smooth according to plan.
He said Ketu South is a peaceful area, but few polling stations, like Gakli near the border, have been identified as a hot spot area, but it’s under control.
He believes the turnout will be high because voters for today’s exercise are for special persons.
Today’s voting is for security personnel, journalists, EC officials, and others.
