President John Dramani Mahama has announced the commencement of work on the Yendi and Tamale water expansion projects to address the perennial acute water shortage in the two areas in the Northern region. He said these water projects are priorities of his government and they will be completed during his tenure. President Mahama made the announcement when he visited the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi of the Northern region.
President assured Yaa Naa of a new hospital for Yendi and upgrade the Tamale Central and the Tamale Municipal hospitals to enhance health care for the people.
