The Overlord of Dagbon Kingdom, His Majesty Mahama Abukari Gariba II has honoured Kafui Dey, lead presenter of GTV Breakfast show during a working visit to the Gbewaa Palace.
The Yaa Naa, who is an ardent viewer of the show warmly welcomed the team and presented Kafui with a traditional smock, a symbol of the rich heritage of the Dagbon people, as a token of respect and gratitude.

The honour was in appreciation of GTV hosting the Heritage Month edition of the GTV Breakfast Show from the historic Gbewaa Palace. His Majesty expressed his deep appreciation to the GTV Breakfast show team for their support in sharing the vision of the constructing of the new Gbewaa Palace and emphasized the need for continued collaboration in attracting donors for the project.

On behalf of the GTV team, Kafui Dey thanked the Yaa Naa for his immense support and shared his excitement about the privilege of being so closely involved with the Dagbon Kingdom. He reflected on the profound lessons he had learned, especially regarding the history and culture of the Dagbon People.
In a further tribute, the Yaa Naa also commended Kafui for his spirited performance of the Takai dance during the show, adding another layer to the honour bestowed upon him.
