4 suspects arrested over Sogakope Assemblyman’s death

The Volta Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects for their alleged involvement in the killing of the late Assembly Member for Sogakope South, Marcus Mawutor Adzahli.

Marcus Adzahli was shot and stabbed several times in the presence of his wife and child at Sogakope in the Volta Region when a yet-to-be identified gang stormed his residence on March 1.

Public Relations Officer of the Volta Regional Command, Corporal Prince Dogbatse who confirmed this to GBC’s Radio Ghana said the four are currently assisting police in investigations and will be duly arraigned in court.

Commenting on the issue of two police officers who have been arrested and detained following the disappearance of a service rifle at the Sogakofe Police station, Corporal Dogbatse said investigations so far does not suggest any link between the missing rifle and the murder of the late Assembly Member for Sogakope South, Marcus Adzahli.
