43 new ministers ordained at 59th Annual Session of the Ghana Baptist Convention

The 59th Annual Session of the Ghana Baptist Convention was held at Ejura.

Forty-three Baptist Minister have been ordained at the 59th Annual Session of Ghana Baptist Convention at Ejura in the Ashanti Region.
The event which was under the theme: “Fulfilling God’s Purpose, Growing God’s Church” brought various minister of the church across the country to administer the ordination of newly inducted ministers of the gospel.

The ministers, made up of 42 males and a  females were ordained by the out-going Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention, Reverend Dr. Ernest Adu Gyamfi.
He charged them to study hard and do more research in order to be abreast of the times and preach relevant sermons that will transform their congregations and the society at large.
According to Rev. Dr. Adu-Gyamfi, leaders must possess certain qualities that are worthy of emulation hence the need for the newly inducted ministers to be loyal to the senior pastors they will be working under.
He advised them to be patient and always allow God to speak through them as they embark upon an evangelical journey to win more souls for Jesus Christ.
The President of Ghana Baptist Convention Minister’s conference, Rev. Dr. Charles Owusu Ampofo in a sermon emphasized the need for Christians to exhibit integrity in all spheres of life.
He explained that without integrity Christians cannot effectively preach the word of God to transform the lives of people.
Highlights of the events was the handing over ceremony from the out-going Executive President Reverend Dr. Adu Gyamfi to the newly elected Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention, Reverend Enoch Thompson.
Prior to his election last year, Rev. Thompson was the Vice President of the Ghana Baptist Convention in-charge of Ministries.
Rev Thompson expressed gratitude to the convention for the confidence reposed in him to lead the church for four years.
