Flood victims within Weija-Gbawe and Ga South Municipalities in the national capital will start receiving relief items from today, October 6, 2022.
The victims numbering about 1,500 from Ashalaja, Weija, Oblogo, and Tetegu have made a passionate appeal to government for support after losing all their belongings and their homes to floods, coupled with the spillage of the Weija Dam.
Speaking on news and current affairs progamme “Behind the News”, on Uniiq FM, the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Chief Executive, Patrick Kwesi Kumor said the rescue teams are still on the ground to rescue persons trapped in the floods.
