MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, has raised concerns about another dam spill by the Volta River Authority (VRA), and its consequent flooding.

He says although the Authority has begun community engagements, the devastation from last year’s spillage is yet to be totally addressed.

Speaking in Parliament, he said a proper probe into last year’s spillage has been long overdue, and the earliest mitigation measures are put in place, the better.

The House added its voice to Mr. Ablakwa’s call and requested the speaker to call the responsible ministers and the VRA to come forth and assure the Nation that the damage of last year will not recur this year.
