MP for Bolgatanga East and former Deputy Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine has eulogized the late Lawyer Akoto Ampaw.
He described him as a selfless man who was dedicated to the promotion of human rights.
He also described Mr Akoto Ampaw as ”one who excelled in the legal profession and contributed immensely to the cause of justice in Ghana”.
Dr Ayine who spoke to GBC News during the enrollment of 1,097 new Lawyers in Accra was hopeful that the newly called law professionals would emulate the late Mr Akoto Ampaw.
On Friday, 20th October 2023, Ghanaians woke up to the sad news of the passing of Lawyer Akoto Ampaw.
Sources indicate he died in the early hours of today at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC), after a short illness.
The prominent Lawyer represented President Akufo-Addo in the 2020 Election Petition.
He stood out for his Human Rights Activism and contributed significantly to public debates and discussions.
