The Presidency has clarified that President Akufo-Addo was not in the convoy that was involved in a collision at Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region over the weekend.
A statement signed by Communications Director Eugene Arhin explained that the President had been air-lifted before the wreck occurred.
One person was, however, reported dead after a vehicle crossed the speedy convoy, which resulted in the accident.
Other persons who are injured have been transferred from the Suhum Government Hospital to facilities in Accra for further care.
