The Coalition of Aggrieved Public Sector Workers is expected to stage a demonstration in Tamale and Kumasi on September 25 and 29 in protest against the 4% base pay increase.
This follows an initial protest held by the Coalition in Accra.
Lead Convener of the group, Norbert Gborgbortsi, told GBC News that the upcoming demonstrations will be bigger in terms of numbers, as compared to the one staged in Accra.
”The Coalition would hold a demonstration on the 25th of September in Tamale, while the Aggrieved Public Sector Workers, we are also having ours on 29th in Kumasi. This one will be bigger in terms of numbers because the one we did in Accra was a representation of the people but now it is the involvement of the grassroots so we expect them to come out in their numbers this time, they have no excuse,” the Lead Convener stated.
