President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), Tony Forson, has waded into the discourse on the LGBT draft bill laid before Parliament.
In an interview, Mr. Forson urged Ghanaians to have faith in Parliament to make a good decision to reflect the cultural and family values of the country as it assesses the anti-gay bill currently before it.
He said the lawmakers should be allowed to argue forcefully for or against the bill on the floor to arrive at a good decision in the collective interest of the public.
His comments follow public outburst on social media against the bill which suggests ten years imprisonment for culprits of LGBT in Ghana.
