Appeals Court Judge chairs Ejura killings probe committee

The government has set up a three-member committee, chaired by Appeals Court Judge, Justice George Kingsley Koomson to probe the recent disturbances at Ejura in the Ashanti Region.

They are to conduct a public enquiry into the disturbances recorded at Ejura in the Ashanti Region which led to the death of a social media activist and two protesters.

The members are Justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice George Kingsley Koomson as Chairman of the committee; Security Analyst, Dr. Vladimir Antwi-Danso; and the Executive Director of Penplusbytes, Ms. Juliet Amoah.

A principal State Attorney, Ms Marie Louise Simmons, is the secretary to the committee.

The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Ambrose Dery, believes the team will meet the deadline given by the President and put together the appropriate report and recommendations.

The Committee has ten days to submit its report to government.
