Deputy National Director of Arocha Ghana, Daryl Bosu has expressed disappointment at the declassification of parts of the Achimota forest as a forest reserve by government.

Mr Bosu noted that Government did not put in enough effort to secure the entirety of the forest, stressing that a regeneration approach should have been used to restore the degraded area, rather than releasing it to the Owoo family.

He explained that this development will give way for people to petition government to get back lost lands to the state, and this will affect the ecological integrity of forest reserves in the country.

Mr Bosu spoke about the benefit of converting the country’s forest reserve.
