The Ashanti Regional Police Command has reiterated its resolve to rid the region of criminals and make it a safe haven for residents to go about their businesses.
This is being done through frequent swoops in the region to round up suspected criminals.
The Regional Command currently had more than 500 suspected criminals in its custody following a number of operations conducted within the week. PRO of the Regional Police Command, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, said, the Police retrieved a number of weapons and substances believed to be Indian hemp from the suspects.
The suspects are being profiled so the Police have appealed to the public to volunteer information to enable them to eliminate crime in the region.
