The Kingdom Life Assemblies of God Church at Pungu in the Kassena Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region, has held an induction service to initiate into office, Reverend (Rev.), Abraham Wengwaame Ayiakwo to preside over the Kingdom Assemblies of God Church, (KAGC), Pungu area and its adjoining communities of Nimbasinia and Nyangua Churches.
The church was established in 1993 and currently has a membership of about three hundred and 50, a school from nursery one to primary five with a pupil population of about one hundred and 60.
In a sermon, the Upper East Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev, Dominic Ziba advised the church members to focus on God and renew their lives as Disciples of Christ.
According to Rev, Dominic Ziba who was the main celebrant for the day, a Christian is constantly at war and therefore call to battle.
He described Rev. Abraham as an ardent lover of the Lord who is always committed to the things of God.
A high spirirted man so full of determination, Rev. Abraham Wengwaame Ayiakwo was born on July 25, 1977 at Nsawam in the Eastern Region to Mr. and Mrs Ayiakwo Kukugujei, the 5th of seven sibblings.
He had his basic education at the Medie Primary School in Accra and continued at the Navio Primary in the Kassena Nankana West District.
He proceeded to Tedam Junior High School from 1991 to 1993.
To answer to the call of the Lord into full time ministry, Rev. Abraham went for three years intensive training at the then Northern Ghana Bible Institute now Assemblies of God Theological College at Kunbungu, Tamale 1995 to 1997 and successfully graduated with diploma in Theology.
Whiles at school as student pastor, he took care of Kajelo Assemblies of God Church during holidays. Rev Abraham was ordained on March 11, 2005.
He holds Degree in theology from the Great Commission Movement Bible College Bolga Campus in 1997 and was first posted to Pungu KLAG in 1998 and served till date.
He served as a district secretary, at the Kassena Nanakana, Evangelism representative for the Navrongo and Sandema District and now as a Campus Pastor for AGCM, Navrongo Nursing Training College and secretary for Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council GPCC in Navrongo.
Rev Abraham has assisted in translating the scripture into the Kasem and recording of the New Testament Bible.
He is currently the scripture in Use coordinator under the Ghana Institute of Linguisttics, Literacy and Bible Translation GILLBT, coordinating over 50 audio Bible listening groups in church denomination in the Kassena Land.
He is married to Lydia Ayiakwo and blessed with three children.
