The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, has unveiled the theme that would guide the activities of the church in 2024. Under the banner of “Send the Light,” the focus for 2024, according to Rev. Wengam is set on intense evangelism, fostering Luke culture growth, and launching aggressive church planting initiatives for national expansion.

Rev. Wengam highlighted the significance of this theme, emphasizing the commitment of the Assemblies of God Ghana Fraternity to a dynamic start in 2024. The theme underscores a strategic approach to “spreading the teachings of the church, contributing to the spiritual development of its members, and expanding its footprint across the nation.”

To kick off the new year with spiritual fervor, Rev Wengam said the church has scheduled a week-long national fasting and prayer initiative. Starting on January 8 and concluding on January 14, the initiative is set to run from Monday to Sunday. Rev. Wengam expressed optimism about the impact of this dedicated time of prayer, envisioning a spiritually enriched and prosperous new year for the fraternity.

The upcoming Initiatives align with the broader vision of the Assemblies of God Church in Ghana, aiming to strengthen its presence, foster cultural growth grounded in the teachings of Luke, and actively engage in evangelism. With a focus on aggressive church planting, Rev Steve Wengam said ‘’it seeks to extend its reach and influence across the nation, contributing to the spiritual and communal well-being of its members.

As members eagerly anticipate the commencement of these initiatives, the Assemblies of God Ghana is poised for a powerful and transformative start to 2024 under the guiding theme of “Send the Light.”
