Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni, who is hearing the contempt case against Kennedy Agyapong has adjourned it to October 6.

An order issued by the Court states that the Judge reached the conclusion “upon sober reflection on the return date”.

A Medical Doctor from the Holy Trinity Spa Ken Addo, was to appear before the court on October 1 to clarify an excuse duty he issued Mr Agyapong.

This was after lawyers for the Assin Central MP had told the court he has relapse as a result of complications from the post-Covid-19 condition he suffered last month, hence his absence from court.

Mr. Agyapong who was dragged to the Accra High Court by Justice Wuni risks a possible jail term or fine should he be found guilty for comments he made against a Judge.

His lawyers on September 18, however, urged the court to halt proceedings explaining they had filed an application at the Supreme Court Challenging Justice Awuni’s jurisdiction to hear the matter.
