Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) has announced that scheduled maintenance will be carried out on the expansion joints of the Atomic Bridge (N4) from Thursday, October 3, to Tuesday, October 22, 2024, resulting in temporary traffic interruptions.
The 20-day maintenance period, aimed at ensuring road safety and infrastructure integrity, will take place daily from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
According to a press release issued by the (GHA)on behalf of the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MRH) on October 2, 2024, motorists are advised to adhere to the traffic management system implemented by the engineering team and consider using alternative routes when possible.
Moreover, this exercise is meant to ensure a smooth and comfortable surface of the bridge for the movement of both drivers and passengers.
Also, the release urged cooperation from the public to ensure a smooth maintenance process.
