Authorities of KNUST take disciplinary action against four students for misconduct

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has taken disciplinary action against four students for acts of indiscipline and crime. The punishment ranges from dismissal, suspension for different periods to indefinite suspension.

The concerned students include Ramay Dwumah Ohene-Tutu, who has been accused of stealing two laptop computers belonging to the University.

He has been summarily dismissed from the University.

Rexford Joseph Bonney, on the other hand, has been rusticated for two Academic Years for his involvement in the unauthorized installation of another student as the ‘Odikro’ of the Unity Hall.

The third student, Baffuor Owusu Konadu has been rusticated for misconduct and bringing the name of the University into disrepute.

The fourth student, Patrick Dwamena Sekyere, has been suspended indefinitely from the University on grounds of extorting money from other students under the pretext of securing them residential accommodation at two Hostels. Correspondent Nicholas Osei-Wusu in Kumasi,

University Relations Officer, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe explained that the sanctions were decided after thorough investigations conducted by the Disciplinary Committee of the University.
