The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO ) has issued an alert to spill excess water from the Bagre dam on Monday 19th August, 2024.
NADMO urges residents in regions potentially affected by the flood to take precautionary measures to protect and ensure their safety.
NADMO is also appealing to the media to help create the needed awareness on the spillage.
NADMO in a statement signed by the North East NADMO Regional Director, Alhassan John Kweku urged residents to relocate to higher grounds if they live in low lying areas, secure valuable belongings and prepare for possible evacuations.
NADMO assures that it will carefully monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as necessary.
