Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has claimed that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has fulfilled 80% of the promises outlined in their 2020 manifesto.

Speaking during a media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr. Bawumia emphasised the NPP government’s strong track record, contrasting it with what he described as the reported failure of John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, to deliver on 203 out of 280 promises made in his 2012 manifesto.

Dr. Bawumia stated, “We have a remarkable record of honoring our promises. An assessment of our 2016 manifesto shows that we have fulfilled 83% of our commitments. Despite the challenges, we have fulfilled 80% of our 2020 manifesto promises.”

He further highlighted the difference between his administration’s performance and that of his opponent, saying, “In contrast, my opponent, John Dramani Mahama, only fulfilled 28% of his 2012 manifesto commitments, leaving 203 out of 280 promises unfulfilled.

I believe our record speaks for itself, demonstrating our commitment to keeping our promises.”
