Relative calm has been restored in the Nkwanta South Municipality in the Oti region after sporadic gunshots led to the killing of 13 people.
The Oti regional Minister, Joshua Makubu, who has been leading a Regional Security Council (REGSEC) meeting to find lasting solution to the disturbance is hoping the police will make progress on the matter.
The Ministry for the Interior has imposed a curfew on the town while a joint Military and Police patrol team have been deployed to beef up security in the town.
The Oti Regional Minister, Joshua Makubu, was speaking on GBC’s Current Affairs Programme,”Focus”.
