Cecilia Dapaah granted bail

Embattled former Minister for Water and Sanitation, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has been granted bail with surety after her arrest by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Monday July 24, 2023 same day of her arrest.

Madam Cecilia Dapaah was released on Monday evening around 10:00pm after hours of questioning from Special Agents from the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

An earlier search was carried out in both her official residence in Cantonments and family residence in Abelemekpe in Accra.

The OSP is yet to communicate to the outcome of the search to the public. GBC Online will stay close and monitor the outcome of the case as events unfold.

Madam Dapaah was forced to resign from office following a public outcry about the amount of money she is believed to be keeping in her home after she had complained that more than a million dollars and other amounts in local and other foreign currencies was stolen from her home.
