The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, Prof. Amin Alhassan, has paid a visit to the Cook-A-Thon event in Tamale to give his support to Chef Failatu as she tries to break the record for the longest cooking marathon set out by the Guinness World Record.
His visit was to also check on the amazing Lifestyle TV & GBC Digital Studio’s crew who have been on the ground in Tamale for more than a week now.
Speaking to GBC’s Lifestyle TV, Prof. Amin Alhassan said “Chef Failatu’s cooking activities is positioning Tamale as the culinary capital of Ghana”. He said a multi channel public service Broadcasting is the new order to satisfy the new complex media culture that characterizes the family today.
According to him, Lifestyle TV channel has been repositioned in the last two years to cater for the youth and Lifestyle.
He said to serve the public with diverse interest, the importance of multi channel platform cannot be overlooked.
Prof Alhassan expressed gratitude to the TV crew for their hard work and dedication.
