Chief Justice, Getrude Torkunu has advocated that Ghana ought to establish a comprehensive legal, regulatory, and institutional framework that promotes the responsible utilization of the Blue Economy.
Emphasizing the significance of adapting to global economic changes, she highlighted the importance of implementing measures to harness the potential of the marine environment for sustainable development.
These remarks were made during her speech at the 14th Maritime Law Seminar for Superior Court Judges of Ghana, an event organized by the Ghana Shippers Authority.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Benonita Bismark said “the dynamic nature of the shipping and logistics sector calls for regular training of judges for efficient adjudication”.
