Children of farmers, fisherfolk to benefit from higher education scholarships in Agriculture

Government has announced a package of 24 scholarships for children of farmers and fishermen to pursue higher education.

President Akufo-Addo made the announcement at the 34th National Farmers’ Day celebration in Tamale December 7.

He said the scholarships are for local tertiary programmes ranging from first degree to PhD in any agricultural subject of their choice.

He added that the new package for the farmers is a testimony of how government is making agriculture attractive to all especially the youth.
