Christians urged to show a high sense of responsibility, commitment and faithfulness

In the Western region Radio Ghana’s correspondent Stephenson Aggrey reports that the watch night service to usher in the new year in the various churches started as early as 7: 30 pm, where most of the congregations have gathered already to prepare themselves for the watch night and also usher in the new year.

They prayed and Offer praises to God, at Christian Faith Church International at Kansawordo a town near Takoradi, the members went through stages of praises and prayers.They thanked God for guiding them and watching over them through out the year. They prayed for their relatives and ministers of God.

The Head Pastor Christian Faith church international, Rev. Alfred Andoh Erzuah encouraged the members of the church to show a high sense of responsibility, commitment and faithfulness in worship God.

This he said will help the country have good and responsible leaders to rule the country.

He said though Ghana is a religious country, there should be some mechanism to check some churches which are always seen with some kind of spiritual direction for its members.

They head pastors must also teach the word of God instead of using prophecy to building the faith of the congregation.

At the musama Church international Takoradi Station, the congregation who were in white dresses danced to praise God for seeing them through 2018 without any serious challenges.

They prayed for the leaders, the Area minister both Ghana and Nigeria, Rev Joseph Awortwe charged the congregation to dance to glorify God for his kindness and blessings bestowed up them and the country.

The members praised God with their holistic dance to usher in the new year.

Rev. Joseph Awortwe charged the leaders of the country to avoid prophecies that are not encouraging, they must always listen to God first before following the voice of political pastors who always want to set agenda for the country through their prophetic messages.

At about 15 minutes to enter into the new year the head pastor of Faith Alive church international in Takoradi Rev.William Nelson took the members through a prophetic prayer line.

They prayed for the country especially the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and  former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufour, and John Dramani Mahama.

At exactly 12 am the prophesied that Ghana will become one of the happiest and loving country and the citizens will be free from economic crisis.

He prayed for each tribe in the country and called on God grace upon the youth and leaders of the country.

At the Sekondi Saint Andrew Anglican cathedral the church ushered in the new year with prayers for the media, Judges, Ministers of God and the security personnel in the country.
