As part of activities to mark the 85th anniversary of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has organised a clean-up exercise on the premises of the Corporation.
President of the Kaneshie Stake of the church, Flint Mensah said it is the responsibility of every Christian to serve and help the society.
He said the Church saw the need to undertake the exercise since it forms part of activities marking the “All Africa Helping Hands Service Project”, an annual project, which ensures that members of the Church go into the communities to perform different activities including cleaning the environment of filth.
Deputy Director of Communications of the Church, Samuel Sackey said the exercise was also to send a message to Ghanaians that cleaning is an attitude that needs to be cultivated.
