The coronavirus outbreak has caused nearly every religious organisation in Ghana to take precautionary measures against the disease.
Some have started to rethink how they hold worship services, which typically involve people gathering in confined spaces and coming into physical contact with each other. Another measure is the provision of hand sanitizers for their members upon entry into the church.
With only two cases recorded so far in Ghana, some churches GBC’s Radio Ghana visited have taken the pain to provide veronica buckets and soaps for frequent handwashing by members. At the Global Evangelical Church, members are required to wash their hands with soap before entering.
Meanwhile, the church has instituted a Health Committee which is educating members on preventive measures by the Ministry of Health against Covid 19.
