Some Driver Associations have kicked against the 13 percent increase in transport fares announced by the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), after it held extensive meetings with the Transport Ministry and the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC).
They described the figure as inadequate as it falls short of the 20 percent they demanded.
Public Relations Officer of the Concerned Drivers Association, David Agboado, said the 13 percent increase is woefully inadequate.
Meanwhile, Head of Communications at the GPRTU, Abass Imoro, says the position taken by the various Driver Associations is unfortunate.
