The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, has urged all its members and the public to strictly comply with the President’s directives concerning the state of Coronavirus.

Accordingly, the leadership of the Church has asked all congregations under its jurisdiction to as a matter of urgency strictly adhere to some directives and measures to guard against the apparent threat of the COVID-19.

A statement signed by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the church asked all branches of the church to put in place adequate precautionary measures such as acquisition of protective kits for Church agents, including pastors, catechists, staff and students of the Church’s educational institutions.

The church has also indefinitely suspended worship activities as well as church services, weddings, funerals and all meetings that require the presence of a significant number of people.

The statement also directed all E.P private educational institutions aligned to or situated at church premises to close down.

It further urged members to seek prompt medical attention in any nearby health facility upon experiencing symptoms associated with the virus.
