The Electricity Company of Ghana and the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) have in a joint press release announced that there will be in the coming days a minimal power supply to some parts of the country and customers.
The development, according to the release, is due to maintenance works which is being carried out by the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and has, therefore, affected gas supply for electricity power generation.
According to the release signed by the Manager of Corporate Communications at the Ghana Grid Company Limited, Dzifa Bampoh, and Director of Communications at the Electricity Company of Ghana, Williams Boateng, a timetable will be rolled out to inform customers of when they will experience a fall in their power supply.
All customers are entreated to observe and pay attention to the timetable which will be released on March 31 2023 to accordingly inform Customers. The situation will last till April 7, 2023. They apologized and expressed their regrets for the inconvenience this development will bring to customers.
