A Lecturer and President of the Organisation Development Institute, Prof. Noble Kumawu, says Africa stands at a pivotal moment in its educational journey that calls for intentional policies, investment, and innovation reforms to meet the current demands of the world.
He said the continent’s future prosperity hinges on thematic areas such as the ability to innovate, adapt, and lead with purpose, spearheaded by academic institutions.
Prof Noble Kumawu was speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Entrepreneurial Educational Management and Leadership Transformation in Africa.
This year’s conference aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders in education and leadership.
Discussions during the event will significantly contribute to the development of innovative strategies for educational and leadership excellence on the continent.
Prof Noble Kumawu encouraged the participants to engage boldly, challenge assumptions, and explore innovative solutions.
He emphasised the need to harness the power of collaboration to propel the institution toward greater heights of achievement and impact.
“The aim we gather is not only to share knowledge but to forge and gather partnerships that will shape the educational landscape of tomorrow.”
“Entrepreneurial educational management development emended paradigm shift. A shift towards dynamic leadership that fosters creativity, resilience and impercivity. It challenges us to rethink traditional models and embrace new methodologies that empower us educationists and learners alike. Through this conference I encourage you to preach boldness to challenge assumptions and to explore innovative solutions. Let us harness the power of collaboration to propel our institutions towards greater heights of achievement,” he emphasised.
An Organisation Development Institute International Consultant, Prof. Egbunu Audu Dangana, reiterated the need for Africans to develop attitudes, skills, and knowledge to solve their own problems.
“We want Africa to tone self-reliance through the inculcation of intercultural spirit and culture.”
“We also want them to be job creators, we want them to create opportunities, we want them to expand and also enhance economic growth and developments that we have.”
“We want them to be our products, or whatever they do, they should be able to cover the product, and the product should be tangible or intangible.”
The four-day conference is being attended by Staff of OD Institute, researchers, and scholars in Africa, among others.
